Workshop Overview

This half day training workshop will consist of the following information:

  • Unattended, Abandoned, or Suspicious package – What’s the difference?
  • Homemade Explosives – What to look for!
  • Behaviors associated with Bomb Related Offenders, lone wolfs etc.
  • “hands on” instruction with inert training aids

This workshop will consist of lecture, slides, and videos.



Lyle Armstrong is a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Air Force Explosive Ordnance Disposal program.  Over the span of his career he has rendered numerous IEDs safe during multiple deployments to many areas of the Middle East.

Carl Maccario, Co-Creator of the DHS/TSA Behavior Detection Program and has trained thousands of Law Enforcement officials all over the all over the United States and the Middle East. Carl is an expert in the field of behavior as it relates to nonverbal communication and deception both verbally and nonverbally.
